At Northwest Medi Spa, we utilize two types of lasers for hair removal: The Candela® GentleLase Laser Therapy and The Candela® GentleYAG Laser Therapy.
This laser uses a 755 nm wavelength and is particularly effective for lighter skin tones. It works by emitting a concentrated beam of light that targets the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicles. The energy is absorbed by the pigment, which damages the follicle and inhibits future hair growth. The GentleLase also features a dynamic cooling device that enhances patient comfort by cooling the skin before and after each pulse.
Designed for a wider range of skin types, including darker skin tones, this laser operates at a 1064 nm wavelength. It penetrates deeper into the skin, targeting hair follicles more effectively while minimizing the risk of damage to the surrounding skin. The GentleYAG also incorporates a cooling mechanism to ensure a more comfortable treatment experience.
Both lasers offer effective, long-lasting hair removal results with minimal downtime, and the choice between them depends on your skin type and hair characteristics. Our experienced practitioners will assess your needs to determine the best option for you.

Dr. Morton is a board certified anesthesiologist and has dedicated her career to the field. In addition, she has over 18 years of experience in the aesthetics industry. Prior to living in Klamath Falls, she owned a medical spa clinic in Bend, Oregon for many years.
Kiana received her A.D.N. from Linn Benton Community College and B.S.N, from Grand Canyon University. She has been in the nursing industry for more than four years and has went through injection training by Dr. Morton. She is passionate about working in the aesthetics industry and helping people look and feel their best!
Danielle has a background in Accounts Payable Operations Management, Human Resources and entrepreneurship. While Danielle is new to the aesthetics industry, she loves being able to witness the results of Dr. Morton and Nurse Kiana's treatments!

So glad I found Northwest Medi Spa and Laser Center for all my skin needs. Dr. Morton evaluated my skin and recommended the best treatments for my skin type which resulted to my satisfaction. I went to Dr. Rebecca Nonweiler to have my lips enhanced. She did an amazing job! I was pleasantly surprised how painless and enjoyable the experience was, and i'm so thrilled with how natural my lips look! It is very obvious to me that dr. Nonweiler loves what she does and is truly not only a highly skilled doctor, but an artist in the field of age management and beauty enhancement.
